Flavio Feferman
Partner
Flavio Feferman has more than 18 years of experience in economic development projects, including several feasibility studies for new agribusiness and biofuels energy ventures in developing countries. Feferman has served as a consultant for organizations such as the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture, as well as private companies and investors. Feferman’s expertise includes financial analysis, market research, business planning, and project management. He has carried out several market assessments for agricultural export ventures in Latin America and other regions of the world, working with investors to develop fundable business plans.
Feferman holds an MBA from the U.C. Berkeley Haas School of Business, in Finance and Marketing, an M.A. in Economic Development and Agricultural Economics from Stanford University, and a B.A. in Quantitative Economics, also from Stanford University. He is married with two children and resides in San Francisco. He is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, and French and holds dual Brazilian and US nationality.

Stephen Fowler
Partner
Stephen Fowler has more than twenty years of experience in a variety of sectors including private equity, strategy consulting and energy development.
Previously Fowler was the founder of BoardSeat, a San Francisco-based strategy consulting firm. Before this, Fowler was a General Partner with Aspen Ventures, an early-stage venture capital fund based in Silicon Valley and before that a Senior Vice President with Berkeley International Capital, a later-stage venture fund based in San Francisco. Previously, Fowler was CEO of Chubb Parsi, an engineering firm based in Barcelona, Spain.
He has served on a number of corporate boards and currently serves as Chairman of ForestEthics, a San Francisco-based nonprofit environmental group, and Treasurer and Secretary of Pacific Environment, an international nonprofit environmental group.
Fowler holds graduate degrees from Cambridge University and London Business School. He is married with two children and resides in San Francisco. He speaks fluent Spanish and passable French.

William P. Mott
Partner
Bill Mott has extensive management and project experience in agribusiness. He has extensive experience and success in identifying and developing new agribusiness opportunities, particularly in developing economies. Recent countries of interest are Nigeria, Romania, Russia, China, Colombia and Chile. Several of the most successful projects identified and managed by Mott included creation of the largest cut flower operation in Colombia (Floramerica S.A.) and sweet onion production in Peru. Both projects created significant and job creating export industries.
Mott manages a number of California and internationally based agribusiness projects for both private and public sector clients. Projects often involve the transfer of new technology, the development of international markets for value-added products or the financing of new and innovative projects. Mott has managed agricultural and food industry projects in over 25 countries.
Mott received a B.S. Degree in Food Science from the University of California, Davis followed by an MBA from the Sloan School, MIT. He and his wife reside in Marin County.

Patrick C. McDonnell
Partner
Pat McDonnell has extensive business development experience in energy and agriculture.
His business experience includes the founding and management of several companies spanning over 30 years. Examples of companies created and projects developed include: a major energy marketing company, over 20 power generation projects, the promotion of several private natural gas pipelines, and the establishment of agricultural production and marketing cooperatives.
In addition to creating new businesses, he has been hired by a number of clients to assist in a wide range of projects including: crafting long term fuel supply and power sales contracts for both renewable and fossil power generators, development of new production and supply divisions for large agribusiness clients, M&A consulting in the areas of power generation and natural gas, development of commodity trading and risk management programs as well as regulatory representation and advocacy in front of governmental agencies.
Mr. McDonnell holds a master's degree in Regional Planning from Harvard University and a bachelor's degree in Agriculture from the University of Missouri, Columbia. He lives in Marin county with his wife and two children.

William E. Scott
Partner
Bill Scott is an agricultural economist with 28 years of experience in agricultural development projects, both in the United States and internationally. Vice President of Agland Investment Services for 22 years, he has worked in more than 30 countries on 5 continents, working with a broad spectrum of businesses and governments. Scott has managed many projects for Agland, including projects in Russia, Brazil, Romania, Tunisia, Egypt and Nigeria.
Before joining Agland, Scott worked for Louis Berger International in Pakistan and Central America; Elliot Berg Associates in Niger, West Africa; and the California Coastal Commission on agricultural land development issues.
Scott has a Master’s degree from the Food Research Institute of Stanford University and an undergraduate degrees from Stanford University and the Institut d’Etudes Politiques in Paris, France. Scott was chosen to participate in the California Agricultural Leadership Program in 1992, and was awarded the program’s Profiles in Leadership Award, International Alliance, for his work in the international development field. He is fluent in French and currently lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife and two children.
